The intense contrast in light conditions in the Finnish seasons has had a profound impact on the designs created by Björn Fritzén.
The lighting fixtures are often inspired by various shapes and environments in Finnish nature, such as the turbulent sea, the Arctic ice, and the distinguished midnight summer sun, which does not settle for months in northern Finland.
Fritzén has the ambition to create beautiful, functional pieces, shaped from diverse robust materials such as brass, copper and stainless steel, to form sustainable and lasting products.
